PEAR A DIME FOR A CUP OF COFFEE, MISTER

A long, long time ago (on graduation day/Ihanded you my book/ STOP THAT ALLEN GODTDAMMIT). Ahem. Some time back, there was a discussion on an official list where I brought up the notion of New Aeon = Paradigm Shift. I promised a follow up, but, as events would have it, the world was spared. Until now.

Sheila contributes to many outre lists, under various names, and one of these is the unofficial official Democratic Party list for between elections that grew directly out of the Kerry-Edwards lively forum. One of her correspondents is a scientist interested in, of all things, the paradigm shift notion, and prodded by the commander of the keyboard, I spent night before last working on the following. Thinking of the earlier discussion in OTO circles, I thought some of y'all might be interested. And since NOBODY HAS WRITTEN ME OR CALLED ME IN THE LAST WEEK EXCEPT THE HARD CORE NUT CASES FROM MY WEB SITE (pant, gasp, wheeze) I hereby inflict it for your dining and dancing pleasure:Read more...Collapse )

O, and before I close another comment on the recent Criterion DVD release of Videodrome. In addition to the excellent commentaries on the main disc, and the outstanding transfer of the uncut film itself, the second disc includes the background tv semiporn "Samuri Dreams" intact with optional commentaries, and the complete "pirate video" of the supposed "Videodrome" broadcast itself. Outstanding.

Also, am I correct that the only two living members of the order mentioned in BLOOD ON THE ALTAR are Wasserman and myself? Coincidence, I'm sure. I'm thinking of doing a bit called "Jim and Allen take over the uyniverse" a 12 episode Republic Serial where Wasserman and I land in a spaceship with two sticks of dynamite set on Taking Over the Earth! We get jet packs, and...you know..like that.
