A GIFT FROM A FRIEND....

From"Decoded" The arrival
BOOKS IN THE MAGICIAN'S ATTIC

As my former publisher cleared out his house in preparation for moving overseas, he discovered a number of copies of books authored by me thought either out of print, or virtually so.

This included 9 uncirculated first impression copies of the never sold signed and numbered edition of THE TRUE QUEST FOR THE HOLY GRAIL-The Western Sexual Magick Tradition" -- originally hand distributed to initiates in an unannounced edition of 50.  We made these available here, and they were all quickly bought.

In addition, the publisher, with my permission, had experimentally reprinted a few xerox reproductions of THE TRUE QUEST FOR THE HOLY GRAIL and bound them as books in over run covers from the above.  Although the illustrations are definitely inferior reproductions, the text is identical to the original, and they are in uncirculated condition.  The publisher generously gave these to me also, and I am offering them to U.S. and Canadian customers for the reduced prince of $12.99 plus $4 postage (USA & Canada) through our paypal site (see below). As with the original, when these few are gone, they're gone for good.

He also located about 20 uncirculated copies of my now rare volume from Looking Glass Press, THE STORY OF THE HERMETIC BROTHERHOOD OF LIGHT, which we are selling at the special price of $9.95 plus please add $4.00 postage (USA & Canada).

There are, I understand, a few copies of THE STORY available from a few retail outlets, but Looking Glass Press of Stockholm went out of business some years ago, and I would venture to say when these are gone, they are gone for good as well.

Finally, we have - from the same source - a *very few* copies of the only estate-authorized edition of Frater Achad's Liber 31, which I edited and introduced, with extensive annotations.  These copies are in uncirculated condition and are available at their cover price of $9.95 plus please add $4 postage (USA & CANADA).

Books autographed on request.

International postage is $12.

Use our paypal portal, either with your paypal account or credit card. If you have trouble with your order, contact me directly at bishop17@mindspring.com.

Doing the Numbers...
Since I am the publisher, I thought I would give the actual numbers. There are only 15 copies of Liber Thirty-One out of distribution and unsold. There are only 60 copies of the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor out of distribution and unsold. What remaining copies of the True Quest in existence are all in your hands. The Compleat Rite of Memphis has long been out of print as has the Hermetic Brotherhood Revealed. Since Luxor Press is going to take a general hiatus while I am in Europe, none of these title will be reprinted.

The last remaining title is The Sistrum, Vol 1, No 1. Unfortunately, I have an abundance of these. If anyone is willing to pay shipping, I will gladly send them a case off 88 books of The Sistrum I have 3 or 4 cases I can send. Email me directly at jcrow @ thelema . nu if you are interested. This offer is only available if you can pay via PayPal, I am sort on time.

Re: Doing the Numbers...
RARE all indeed!

Thanks for the info.

"The Sistrum" isn't my responsibility, but it really is unfortunate it didn't get more attention. The early wisdom of QBLH is worth at least this much of a read, if not more. With Bill Webb and Soror Ishtaria gone from us, this is all the more valuable, if a flawed text.

Of course ~wink~ I'd rather people buy my rare books...or even the ones in print. Pays the bills round here.

Well I ordered it, but I mistakenly put down the wrong address. Can I send you an email with the correct address? Or how can I correct that?

Re: ADDRESS
I got an email, but before I read your entry. The P.O. address is the correct one to use? I intend to mail a batch tomorrow.

It seems I can't add the shipping cost.

Where do I enter that?

I AM A VERY VERY BAD BOY
Oops! Well, this shows why my publishers ordinarily handle all the other stuff, and I just write. I'm not used to posting ads, so if I didn't make provisions for postage and pay pal won't add it, I guess I eat the postage. So just order at the price given. If you have an overwhelming urge to pay postage, contact me off list (bishop17@mindspring.com) and I'll give you a way to send me the four bucks.

Obviously, I'm no retailer. ;-)

postage
The way the ads are worded, you can add in postage separately. See my private email. Postage on TRUE QUEST is included. I've been a writer for many years, but selling isn't my specialty...just trying to deliver a rare good prioduct at a reasonable price to those interested.

Re: postage
I think you're doing fine! Shooting emails back and forth is more fun than an impersonal amazon-style page, in my opinion.

Thanks. Generally, my books *are* sold on Amazon....the story of how I wound up with these is told a few entries back.

Of course TRUE QUEST FOR THE HOLY GRAIL has never been offered for sale before anywhere.

I try to process all orders within 48 hours of confirmed receipt.

That's what I figured. I just think it's refreshing to be able to sort of virtually wave to the author for once. If I was able to drop a "thank you" note to an author every time I bought a book and have them respond, I'd buy a lot more books, let me tell you. :)

Indeed. I've met a lot of my favorite authors. I know what you mean. ;-)
